Wastewater Treatment in Remote Arctic Settlements

چکیده

The article deals with improving the sewage systems of small remote settlements in Arctic climate to prevent industrial pollution environment. Preliminary monitoring wastewater temperature and quality was carried out. From laboratory results experimental modelling, such as coagulation, sedimentation, filtration, oxidation, chemical precipitation, we developed a substitute for traditional biological stage treatment physicochemical methods. A real water sample, taken this study from septic tank northern village, can be considered distinctive feature experiment. best obtained according scheme precipitation nitrogen compounds are demonstrated. In case, oxygen demand (COD) index reduced by 96.6%, ammonium ions concentration 99.5%, suspended solids 99.9%. technological low-productivity plants (WWTPs) is proposed. comparison proposed schemes terms efficiency cost Further implementation recommended methods at existing newly designed stations expected improve effective operation these arctic conditions.
